Antonio Caballero Barrada was born in Puebla del Maestre in 1956 and lived there for over 20 years before
settling in Stockport, Manchester (UK) in 1979 with his wife Sharon and two daughters,
There, he currently co-owns a business in the computer industry.
He has a wealth of knowledge about the village, surrounding area and the Extremadura region
in general and is very keen and interested in promoting the place were he was born and encouraging
the discovery of the region, with all that it has to offer, to those who are interested
in experiencing the real and unadulterated Spain.
Colin MacAlister was born in Manchester in 1954. Currently living in Marple, Stockport with wife Nicola and three
daughters.
He is currently a director and co-owner a transport company, specialising in coaches and minibuses, and has been a
local councillor in Stockport for the last 25 years. In May of 2009, he will be invested as the Mayor fo Stockport.
He has a passion for everything rural, natural, and traditional. Together with Antonio, have
formed The Rural Spain Ltd, a company that specialises in promoting and developing
holiday property in rural Spain for those tourists that wish to experience
something different from the standard destinations.
